About Jens Velling
Management
I have managed and had overall responsibility for factories in several countries.
— Built up and managed senior management teams within operations, quality and support functions as well as HR.
— Has been responsible for strategic planning and execution of organizational development, Center-of-Excellence strategy, change processes, as well as significant capacity expansions.
Managing what we understand by “Operations” in both strategic, tactical and operational perspective is thus what defines my career, and always in a close connection with a company’s business strategy.
International experience
In addition to Denmark, I have managed activities in India (resident), Switzerland (resident), Sweden and the Czech Republic, as well as had close business or managerial relations with a number of countries, especially Japan, the USA and China.
Leading across vastly different cultures requires openness, and a real, personal commitment to understanding cultural and behavioral differences. This understanding is a natural part of the knowledge and experience I offer in my consultancy.
Educational background
I have a Master of Science in Chemistry / Biotechnology and a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (Financial Management).
Board positions and management training have also contributed to personal and professional development, as well as a strong focus on the connection between business strategy and the underlying prerequisites in operations and organization.
